There have been many famous cats throughout history; Puss in Boots, Sylvester, Garfield and many more. But this particular day is celebrated in honor of the death of a very special cat- the kitty that the daughter of the ex-president of the United States, Bill Clinton, adopted in the decade of the 90’s.
His name was Socks, due to the white fur that covered his paws. Socks went from being a starving street cat to being a lucky one with a luxurious life, as he was the only animal to live in the White House. Socks was well loved by the North American people. He sadly passed away from a cancer when he was 20 years old.

Even though it is not an official date as we know it, the social media has determined the 20th of February as International Cat Day, creating this a Trending Topic all over the world.
Cats are outstanding beings, with amazing qualities worthy of admiration that can actually also become a man’s best friend. Many jokes flow around regarding the «maliciousness» and peculiar independence of cats, however, we strongly believe that those who don’t love cats is because they haven’t had the chance to really get to know one.
We join this wonderful day, where today, 20th of February, we celebrate International Cat Day and we do it decisively and proud; because we find it charming to celebrate how incredible, fun and singular living beings all cats are.
